07136 Ferrari 360 Challenge "A. Barde"
Ange Barde - European Champion 2003!
The 360 Modena Challenge has been used in the Ferrari Challenge since the year 2000. This motor sports car weighs in at just 1170 kg. Above all, this low weight makes it possible to use the new space frame technology, with a light aluminium superstructure that offers remarkable rigidity. The fully enclosed underbody and rear diffuser give so much down force that the rear wing can be eliminated. A total of 300 vehicles have been produced from the 360 Modena Challenge. The vehicle is equipped with a 3.6 litre V8 engine that develops a good 400 bhp. It takes the Ferrari only 4.5 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h and the top speed is officially given as 296 km/h. For some years Ange Barde has competed successfully for the Pirelli Trophy, including in 2003 when this French driver took the European Champion title decisively and unchallenged with 245 points. |
